This is another narrative that has been floating around for a few years now, the idea that central bank digital currency (CBDC) being implemented to enslave humanity is nothing but a baseless conspiracy theory.

If you don’t know, the BIS is the “bank of central banks”. In their own words (archive 1, 2, 3):

Our mission is to support central banks' pursuit of monetary and financial stability through international cooperation, and to act as a bank for central banks.

Here we have Bank of International Settlements (BIS) General Manager Augustin Carstens (archive 1, 2, 3) himself saying just that, CBDC will give them absolute control.
